Guido Pizza Haven & Restaurant in Chesterland

When I was overseas I dreamed about coming home and having my first meal be at guidos. Not only is it the best Italian restaurant, it’s the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Everything on the menu is delicious from the chicken Parmesan to the pasta and pizza. It’s Family owned and I t’s nice to see the same faces working hard behind the counter greeting you every time you come in, Especially CJ he’s a beast behind the counter. Do yourself a favor and order extra food to go. You will thank me. Guidos thanks for being the best, You never disappoint 👍

My favorite restaurant for pizza and all Italian cuisine. Love the Aglio E Olio spaghetti with mushrooms ... always made to perfection! Excellent friendly service with attention to detail. Highly recommended ... they will not disappoint

With all the 5-star reviews I was expecting a “wow” factor but I was horribly disappointed. I’d give 5-stars for the service but not the food. Pizza was good but the spaghetti was a huge disappointment. It definitely did not taste homemade and I’ve eaten a ton of spaghetti in my day. The noodles were undercooked and hard and the sauce was bland. The Italian sausage on the spaghetti was not even a link but instead a smashed overcooked ground sausage patty. Pretty sure the kitchen forgot the spaghetti order because the pasta came to the table several minutes after the pizza was delivered to us.

Honestly my favorite place to eat. Every time I come home to Chesterland, Guidos is my first stop. I honestly can not comprehend how anyone could leave less than 5 stars for this incredible food and amazing service.

This was for a large order of rigatoni for a party. I went to pick it up only to find that my mom forgot to tell me that she ordered it for pickup later in the day. The guys at Guido's got to work on it immediately so I didn't have to make another trip to town, and they did it with a smile! And the rigatoni? FABULOUS!

The sauce was watered down so badly it soaked through the crust. It was nearly clear and therefore tastless. Very disappointed after coming out from Fairport because of the hype of how good it supposedly is.

Great place, great food! BYO wine/beer. Just make sure to bring your cash. This is a cash no CC place. They do have an ATM in the building. Family owned, wonderful catering and event hall also.

Absolutely wonderful dining experience! The chicken parmesan was fantastic. Salad was delicious and had cheese on it! I love cheese! The service was great, wonderful waitress, and the restaurant is very nice! Will definitely dine again! Pizza was flying out the door for takeout the whole time I was there!

Best sausage pizza ever! My family and I all fight over who gets the corner pieces. Their rolled eggplant is also amazing. If you're going to dine in, expect a wait. Note - cash or check only, but there is an atm inside. Also, feel free to bring your own bottle of wine. Family run and always delicious.

I stood in line for a meal that was 25 minutes behind my scheduled pick up time to start. Not one employee is wearing a mask despite the State of Ohio mandate. Not one!!! It’s a damn shame because the food is very good but the sheer disregard for public safety is beyond the pale. Ironically most of the patrons also didn’t wear masks to pick their orders up. Perhaps that’s the culture in Chesterland. So disappointing

Our server didn't really listen successfully to what we were ordering. Drinks were wrong, the silverware was dirty, and the quality of the food was not worth the price.

Another table and I ended up getting the wrong pizza, They switched them by accident. The owner came out and apologized, Gave both of our tables free meals, I was with two other people, And asked if I wanted another meal while waiting. The food was amazing. Everything is hand made the morning of, Including the sauces. I loved absolutely everything about this place!

The pizza was good the service was good came in for a free pizza last time the pizza stove was overloaded and the pizza didn't rise could hardly chew it. Called the owner on the phone told him what was wrong he said he would give me another pizza next time we can in Today was the daywhen he saw who it was he reneged been coming here for over 40 years had two bad pizzas one was Burn on the bottom and the other one so tough my pit bull Couldn't chew it Because of his actions and crude demeanor won't be back He finally gave us a.pizza but because of his disrespectful Actions it would be meaningless to support his business Now or in the future Everybody screws up sooner or later you just have to man up

Pizza was delicious and so filling!! Also the house salad was very good and had a really tasty vinaigrette! 😋 so glad someone recommended this place to us since we came from Cincinnati and were only here for the weekend! P.s. this place only accepts cash so make sure you have cash when you go there!

Have driven by this place a few times, thought of stopping in for a bite. I always like to read reviews on places before going. I usually read the bad reviews first and if there's a consistent theme (as there is with this place) I don't bother reading the good ones. Thanks for the heads up from people giving 1-star, won't waste my time or spend my hard-earned money at a place like this!

Food was out right amazing. Portions were massive and could easily feed 2 people for one dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive!

Frequented Guidos as a kid growing up. Now living on the west side, it is one of my favorite treats when visiting home. I was especially looking forward to it today as I've not had their delicious pizza since before the shutdown, and it was my birthday lunch. With that being said, placed a sizable order today. The food was great per usual, but it was a bit unnerving when picking up to be able to look into the kitchen and not see a mask on any of the visible employees(at least six people). I understand that everyone has their own beliefs on how serious this pandemic is. However, It was my impression that masks are the new standard and were required of all employees within the food service industry(not to mention it was advertised that they were taking necessary precautions) . It is sad to say that moving forward we will not be ordering from Guidos as it's evident that proper safety measures are not being enforced amongst the staff. Maybe if/when this whole thing blows over.

These guys are awesome! I’ve always experienced the best customer service and the food has never disappointed me. I just called and ordered a pizza 15 minutes before they closed and he gladly made it and offered me a drink while I waited. What more could you ever ask for. Guidos is the best.

Good pizza in a chill atmosphere. This place seems like going back to an old Italian kitchen. The food comes out promptly and very hot. The toppings on the pizza were very generous and we had enough pizza left over for several servings of left overs, which heated up nicely in the oven. Would go again, just be sure to have cash handy!

It was my 1st time in, and the previous google reviewers did not let me down. First off, you should know that Guido's is the type of old school joint that only accepts cash or personal check as payment. And like an old school restaurant (though apparently in new digs), it's largely staffed by people who are related to each other. It seems they've been making their pan pizza for some time, and have really got it down. I shared a large sausage and onion with my brother in law. I really liked the sausage seasoning, and the pizza did not arrive shy on cheese. It was a square pie, with square cuts, and perfectly crispy/crunchy edges where cheese meets pan. I also had a salad with mozzarella, and the house Italian that appeared to be made with red wine vinegar, it was the quintessential pizza shop salad that came with a house made roll and butter. Let's put it this way, I will be back.

Hands down the best pizza ever... Our family has been coming to Quido’s since they opened we have been traveling from Madison to Chesterland for years and absolutely worth it .. You must have this Pizza

Absolutely fantastic! Our family LOVES everything about Guido's! The staff are welcoming and always make you feel at home. Every dish is made with love and it is delicious!!! This is by far our favorite place. We were thrilled to have it open again!

I was told about this place from a friend of a friend. now i live in Cleveland so it was a 40 min drive. but ill tell you what this place did not disappoint. The waitress was kind and attentive. the cooks in the back even asked how everything was and the food was outstanding! i highly recommend the fettuccine Alfredo probably the best i have ever had. They do not serve alcohol but you are allowed to bring your own. also this is a cash only place.

Wonderful food, wonderful service. Fresh, hot rolls brought to every table. The staff clearly had personal relationships with the regulars and were very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Guido's for good Italian-American food!
